Tickets needed for Battle of Ashbourne re-enactment

Meath County Council is now accepting expressions of interest from individuals who would like to attend the 1916 Commemorative Event on Easter Monday, 28th March.

The event consists of a formal state commemorative ceremony and it will be preceded by an historical re-enactment of the Battle of Ashbourne. The event will close with a community concert.

Due to the layout of the location at Rath Cross numbers are limited, standing room only, and in order to give people the best possible chance to attend please apply by email for a ticket, closing date is Sunday 13th March. Successful applicants will be notified by email after 14th March.

Admittance is by ticket only.

The event starts at 10.45am and the community concert concludes at 3pm.

Tickets will be issued on a first come , first served basis. Maximum of four tickets to any one applicant.

Tickets will have to be collected from Ashbourne Civic Offices by 21st March. Tickets not collected will be redistributed.
