Conor McHugh in action during last year's All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Tyrone.

Two enforced changes for Meath

With the exception of an injury to Darragh Smyth and a suspension for Paddy O’Rourke, Meath manager Mick O’Dowd has kept faith with the side that lost to Cavan for tomorrow’s crucial NFL Div 2 clash with Galway in Salthill, 2pm.
Smyth was replaced by Dunboyne’s Cathal Finn last Sunday and although Finn also limped out of the action against Cavan he has recovered sufficiently to take over the number seven shirt.
Skryne goalkeeper Paddy O’Rourke is suspended following his 73rd minute dismissal last Sunday, his third in the last year, and will be replaced by Oldcastle’s Conor McHugh.
McHugh replaced O’Rourke for last year’s All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Tyrone after O’Rourke saw red in the Leinster SFC semi-final loss to Westmeath. On that occasion goalkeeping coach Brendan Murphy filled the substitute role, but the Trim man is unlikely to repeat that move with Donaghmore/Ashbourne’s Jack Hannigan expected to wear the number 16 jersey.
The only other change to the team is a positional one with Donnacha Tobin and Brian Power swapping roles. Tobin will revert to half-back, while Power will partner Harry Rooney at midfield.
