Regina Doherty (Fine Gael)

Sitting Fine Gael TD Regina Doherty has lived in Ratoath for over 20 years with her husband and their four children. Before getting elected to Dail Eireann in 2011, she worked in the IT sector and later was elected as a Meath County Councillor.
Deputy Doherty has been an active member of the Joint Oireachtas Committee for Health and Children and the Joint Oireachtas Committee for Finance and Public Expenditure. She has met and helped many individuals, families, businesses, sports clubs and voluntary organisations over the last five years and says she has delivered €5 million in funding to develop sports clubs, €136 million to schools and €93 million on roads.
If re-elected, her priority is that everyone in Meath who wants a job, can get a job. “It is vital that we make work pay by delivering affordable childcare and abolishing the USC.
“If re-elected, Fine Gael will implement its long-term economic plan and secure Meath’s recovery. Meath East deserves a strong local and experienced voice to represent our best interests on the national stage,” according to the Fine Gael TD.
