U-21 B title for Clann na nGael

Clann na nGael completed a fine year for the club on the hurling front when they added a third piece of silverware to the trophy cabinet with victory today at Páirc Tailteann in the u-21 B HC decider against Rathmolyon.

Clann na nGael won by 2-8 to 1-9 with all the goals coming in the first-half.

Aaron Ryan was the two-goal hero for Clann na nGael who were ahead by 2-3 to 0-1 at one stage in the opening half on the way to a 2-4 to 1-3 interval lead.

Dillon Douglas found the net for Rathmolyon who made a brave effort in the second-half as they twice got the deficit down to two points, but just didn't have ammunition to overhaul Clann na nGael.
