Christmas shoppers in navan can win trip to canadas navan

Shoppers in Navan in the run-up to Christmas will have the opportunity to win a flight to Canada in a new promotion launched last week by the Mayor of Navan, Sinead Burke, as a collaboration of local businesses, community groups, the Chamber of Commerce and the Navan Municipal Authority
All businesses in the town will be offering in-store weekly prize draws during the four weeks coming up to Christmas. All draw entries will then be entered into a massive public draw to win a trip for two to Navan, Ontario, Canada. Participating businesses have been given posters for their front windows to proudly display they are part of the Navan Christmas Experience, prize draw raffle tickets and an entry box to.
At the launch in The Central, Cllr Burke said: “We are going to be as busy as Santa’s Elves in the coming weeks encouraging Navan shoppers to buy locally, celebrate locally and generally get into the spirit of things in the best shopping destination in the North East. The Christmas lights go on Friday 28th November for the official start of the ‘Christmas in Navan Experience’.
“Santa has a naughty and nice list, but we have an amazing attractions list,” she added. “Huge Christmas Trees at Kennedy Place and the Town Hall; a live animal crib on Kennedy Place; a festive Christmas Market on the Civic Plaza; the traditional crib on Trimgate Street, and Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a visit to the town from the big man himself, Santa.”
She added: “In order to get the word out as wide as possible, our head Elf David will be overseeing a constant online promotion campaign. David will be running www.navanchristmasexperience.ie and also Navan Christmas Experience on facebook. This means any participating businesses can promote their in store prizes and special seasonal deals, with the opportunity to post your personal video message to your customers.”
The prize trip to Canada is being sponsored by Air Canada and Navan Travel. Permanent TSB sponsored the draw boxes. AIB is also a sponsor, and the rest of the costs are being covered by the Navan Municipal District.
