Drumbaragh set for decider

Drumbaragh made it to the final of the JFC this evening with a merited 3-11 to 2-7 victory over neighbours Cortown at Kells in front of a large crowd.

James Connolly's goal helped Drumbaragh to a 1-5 to 0-4 interval lead, but each side found the net twice in the second-half as the tempo of the game increased.

Gary Coyne and Brian Casserly scored the Cortown goals while Colm Carry and Thomas Carry hit the net for fast-moving Drumbaragh.

“I think we played well enough to win, it was always going to be hard against Cortown, they’re fully committed, but now we can look forward to the final,' commented Drumbaragh manager Finian Murtagh.

The final will take place on Sunday 13th October as part of a double-header with the IFC decider.
