Rathkenny into last four

The Rathkenny bandwagon keeps rolling following Sunday’s 0-14 to 1-10 SFC quarter-final victory over Seneschalstown at Pairc Tailteann in what was a poor enough game with extra-time required.

Rathkenny looked set for victory in normal time until Bryan Clarke’s late goal gave Seneschalstown another opportunity, but it really only extended their agony and they eventually exited.

The exciting finish also masked abysmal standard of the opening half especially although the tempo picked up as the second-half action unfolded.

In the IFC quarter-finals, Gaeil Colmcille proved too resourceful for Ratoath while Castletown handled Dunderry with ease at Simonstown on Sunday night.
