Na Fianna sink Moynalvey

Na Fianna surged into the last four of the Keegan Cup and set up the prospects of a mouthwatering semi-final joust with Wolfe Tones when they proved too strong for Moynalvey in a thrilling quarter-final tie at Navan’s Páirc Táilteann on Saturday evening.

Na Fianna won by 7-10 to 2-10 in an amazing game that saw Shane Barrett score five goals for the winners with Daniel Queeney and substitute Harrison Silke completing the goal tally.


Na Fianna have now scored 12 goals in their lasst two games.


Moynalvey were always in contention, but just could find the net as often although both goalkeepers produced some excellent ssaves druing a thrilling 60 minutes that kept referee David Coldrick busy such was the pace of the game.
John Donoghue (penalty) and Ray Ryan scored the Moynalvey goals.
