Bulldogs for Navan

American Football will arrive in Navan this weekend when the Meath Bulldogs start their residency in their new home, Navan RFC at Balreask Old.

The Meath Bulldogs will host Tullamore Phoenix in their first home game of the season on Sunday, 2.0 and as an extra incentive for local supporters, admission to the game will be free.

Bulldogs count several Navan locals in their squad and when the opportunity came to play out of Balreask Old they decided to switch base - fully supported by Navan RFC secretary John Coen and Director of Rugby Paul Beggy.

The Bulldogs have made a mixed start to their 2013 campaign. They narrowly lost to Dublin Dragons at Westmanstown RFC before they took on the Mullingar Minotaurs in a 6-6 draw.
