Elliott winner boosts Meath Chronicle Charity fund

Trainer Gordon Elliott gave the Meath Chronicle charity bet fund a boost today when Roi Du Mee won the feature race at Tramore. The Chronicle Charity bet (€25) with Boylesports was on Roi Du Mee at enhanced odds of 9/4 and partnered by Davy Russell duly won the big race at Tramore. "It wasn't ideal running him so soon again, but he was due to go up 12 pounds and we took seven pounds off with a good young rider," stated Elliott. "He is as slow as a hearse, but he stays galloping," added the popular trainer.
