Flemenstar returns with a win

Dunsany owner Stephen Curran was smiling today at Navan races when his impressive Flemenstar recorded a sixth successive win by landing the grade two Irish Fortria Chase on his seasonal reappearance. The Peter Casey-trained seven-year-old (10/11), partnered by Andrew Lynch made all the running and was eased near the line on the way to a comfortable seven lengths success. Lynch had a double on as he also won with Sizing Rio for Henry de Bromhead. Big Zeb was bidding to win the race for the fourth year in succession and took the runner-up position. Noel Meade's Realt Dubh (Paul Carberry) finished a distannt fourth. However, there was compensation for Meade and carberry in the next race when Dylan Ross won a beginners' chase.
