Ireland win Shinty

Ireland won the first leg of the Shinty International in Scotland today by 3-10 to 2-9 with a goal worth five points making the score 25/19 ahead of the second leg in Ennis next weekend. Meath's Stephen Clynch is a member of the panel and the game was played in front of a crowd of around 2,000. Ireland were well in control, but a couple of late goals boosted Scotland ahead of their trip to Ireland. However, two late goals gave the Scots hope ahead of next week's return leg in Ennis.
