Davis nominated for manager of the year

Meath's All-Ireland-winning camogie manager John Davis has been nominated for the manager of the year accolade. Davis guided Meath to the All-Ireland Premier Junior title this year, but more importantly, since he took the helm in 2007 has transformed the Meath team from perennial losers to winners. Also nominated for the prestigious accolade are Wexford's JJ Doyle and Derry's John Mullan. The winner will be announced at the annual Camogie All Stars in association with O'Neills at Citywest on Saturday 3rd November 3rd. The Camogie Association has announced that Olympian Annalise Murphy will be the special guest. Her performances at the London Olympics lifted the nation when she competed in the Laser Radial class, winning her first four races in Weymouth and finishing fourth overall. This year's black tie event will be presented by RTÉ's Michael Lyster and Evanne Ní Chuilinn.
