Tipperary to water the Irish soccer team

Tipperary Water, headed up by Pat and Marie Cooney of Kilmessan, has been named 'Official Mineral Water' to the Football Association of Ireland. Over 100,000 bottles of water will be consumed over the course of the sponsorship and Tipperary Water Coolers have already been installed in the FAI Headquarters in Abbotstown. As a partner to the FAI, Tipperary Water is entitled to have the FAI logo displayed on non sports bottles as well as having the Tipperary Water logo on the FAI website. Part of Tipperary's distribution fleet will also be branded with the FAI logo, and will be visible around the country and in the city. Tipperary Water will develop a range of marketing activities to include instore promotions to leverage the sponsorship, benefiting both the FAI at all levels and fans alike. At the launch today in Portmarnock Hotel, Tipperary Water director Marie Cooney, said: " This is a unique marketing opportunity for Tipperary Water to be involved as a partner with the FAI as 'official mineral water sponsor ' and it will give us lots of opportunities to showcase our brand. We see this as a strong strategic fit to drive awareness of our brand amongst players and supporters of the number one sport in the country. Tipperary Water celebrated its 25th anniversary last year and what a better time to become involved with such a great organisation."
