Sun brings a special buzz to 72nd annual Trim Show

The sun made a welcome and overdue appearance at the weekend just in time for the 72nd Royal Meath Show, which took place in Trim's Porchfields on Sunday. There was a great buzz from early morning as competitors started to arrive and glorious sunshine ensured a large turnout for the annual event. The show was a great success, thanks to a very hard-working group of volunteers, and the committee thanked all those who took time off work or gave up their free time to set up the field, help with stewarding and help tidy up aftewards, A special thanks went to the volunteers with Trim Tidy Towns who worked tirelessly on Sunday picking up rubbish. Exhibitors in the cattle section were on the go from early morning getting their cattle washed and polished. The Limousin Champion stayed within the county and went to Oldcastle breeder William Smith. To read the full story see this week's Meath Chronicle.
