Another win for Trim Bulldogs

Running Back Pete McMahon ran in a hat-trick of touchdowns as Trim Bulldogs recovered from a slow start to secure their DV8 Play-Off place with an impressive 21-14 victory over Tullamore Phoenix at Trim GAA centre on Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs found themselves 0-8 adrift early in the first quarter, but McMahon forced his way over and then added an extra point to close the gap to 7-8. McMahon then raced clear to add a secopnd touchdown and when the extra point was added Trim found themselves 14-8 ahead. However, that lead didn't last long as tullamore responded with a touchdown, but they couldn't add the extras and the teams were tied 14-14 at half-time. In a tight second half, McMahon proved to be the hero with his third touchdown and the extra point secured the win and play-off play.
