Million miles an hour for Navan's Shannon!

Since releasing her debut EP, 'A Million Miles' earlier this year, things have been moving at a lightning speed for Shannon and her band The Shortcuts. With an appearance on Brendan O'Connor's Saturday Night Show, single of the week on BBC Radio Ulster, headline gigs at Whelan's and The Sugar Club in Dublin, as well as The Enterprise in London, all within the past few months, things have been moving rapidly for this 21-year old Meath songstress. With a performance at the upcoming Electric Picnic in Stradbally on Friday, 31st August, and special guest to The Alambama 3 in Belfast on 10th August, things are not slowing down anytime soon for Shannon and the Shortcuts. In September she will kick off a national tour and is set to release of her debut album in early 2013. That's not all the future has in store for this exciting new artist. "We are set to release our second single in mid-August, and we have a few exciting things in the pipeline, including writing songs for the soundtrack of a movie about a jazz singer which is to be shot in London later this year," Shannon explains.
