Phil Cantwell

A councillor since 1994, married with five children. A mechanical engineer, was employed as a teacher by Meath VEC, as plant manager with John Sisk and engineer with Tara Mines. Describes himself as a hard worker with no party agenda. Has fought for a safer water supply for Trim, for pension rights for disabled workers and against cutbacks in medical cards and education. Aims include job creation. Has campaigned for the protection of Trim Castle, the Tara-Skryne Valley and environment. He is also strongly opposed to EirGrid overhead pylons.
