Toner bidding for world cup semi place

Meath's Sportsperson of the Year Devin Toner will be bidding to help Ireland to the semi-final of the Rugby World Cup against Argentina at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Sunday (kick-off 1pm).

There are three changes to the side that overcame France 24-9 last Sunday, with injury ruling both Paul O'Connell and Peter O'Mahony out of the tournament and Sean O'Brien missing the match through suspension.

In O'Connell's absence, Jamie Heaslip will take the captain's role on his 80th Ireland appearance while Jordi Murphy comes in for his second World Cup start and Chris Henry replaces O'Brien at openside flanker.

Moynalvey man Toner, who played under-age hurling with Kiltale, and Iain Henderson are paired together in the second row.
