Ronan on way back

Former Meath minor footballer Niall Ronan has received the "all clear" after he was carried off during Munster's 6-13 defeat to Scarlets in the PRO 12 at Musgrave Park on Sunday. Ronan received a hefty blow to the head and neck area and there was real concern about his well-being however he revealed to the Meath Chronicle on Tuesday that he hopes to be soon back in action. "They put me on a stretcher for a precaution, they thought it was a serious neck injury but thankfully I got the all clear yesterday. There is some bruising but there's no damage to the spine which is most important," he said. Ronan missed most of last season with a leg injury. He returned to action only to pick up a groin injury that sidelined him for two months. The Scarlets game marked his return to action after that particular setback but now he could be out for a few more weeks.
