Talk A Good Game

LISTEN: The first episode of 'Talk A Good Game' has landed!

As this ever changing world in which we live in continues to progress the Meath Chronicle continues to expand our brand into the world of digital and today we launch our brand spanking new sports podcast, Talk A Good Game, presented by Fergal Lynch.

Fergal is joined in our new studio by guests former Meath goalkeeper Paddy O'Rourke and Ashbourne's internet comedy sensation Rory O'Connor.

Paddy is no stranger to sports enthusiasts in Meath and in our first podcast the Skryne man discusses his reasons for quitting the Meath senior football panel following last year's All-Ireland SFC qualifier loss to Donegal and the levels of commitment expected when you are an inter-county footballer.

Rory has become one of the most popular figures on the Irish comedy scene and his depication of the everyday GAA supporter has earned him almost half a millon followers on facebook and 40,000 followers on Twitter (@RorysStories).

A talented footballer himself with Donaghmore/Ashbourne Rory's story about his one and only trial for Meath is the stuff of legend at this stage, while his views on why Meath have fallen so far behind Dublin are shot straight from the hip as he doesn't hold back.

In the Talk A Good Game podcast we also look ahead to Saturday's Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid as well as having a quick preview of Leinster's PRO14 final clash with the Scarlets in the Aviva as Moynalvey man Devin Toner id bidding to complete the double.
