Navan steamroll Skerries

After a slow start Navan built up a head of steam to defeat Skerries 41-15 in the AIL Div 2B at a cold Balreask Old this evening.

The home side conceded a try scored by Skerries' Chris Tonge in the opening minutes but it didn't take long for Alan Kingsley's side to take control and complete a double over the Co Dublin side this season.

Navan centre Vaa Mailei scored two tries for the winners as did skilful out-half William Staunton with Sean Healy,  Brian Haugh and Conor Ryan others to surge through for touchdowns. It was 17-10 at the interval.

Haugh also added two conversions with Staunton one as Navan sustained their pursuit of the leaders in the division.
