Sheehy set for scotland

Navan girl Shannon Sheehy who is a member of Cushinstown AC will travel to Scotland this weekend to represent Ireland in the Celtic Games where she will be aiming to maintain the good form that local athletes have displayed in recent weeks.

 

She will compete in the high jump and she is also a member of the relay team.

The Loreto Convent, Navan student has had a brilliant 2015 season having won national U-17 and Junior indoor and outdoor titles in hurdles and high jump.

The 16-year-old set a new youths high jump record and also made the European Olympic standard time in the 100m hurdles.
