Sea Wolf devours opposition for Lyons

There was Meath success at The Curragh today when the formidable duo of Ger Lyons and Colin keane landed the Irish Cambridgeshire with Sea Wolf.

There was also a winner for trainer Tom Gibney and Moynalty jockey decaln mcDonogh won the Flame of Tara Stakes for boss John Oxx with Sea of Grace.

Sea Wolf took the big race in style after chasing the leaders in a competitive 24-runner handicap and then getting a run up the inside from around the midway point of the one-mile contest.

Trim jockey Colin Keane went for his race about two furlongs out and won from Sikandarabad by half a length.

Sea Wolf won in a time of 1min 37.84 seconds which is 2.60 secs faster than the course average.

The Tom Gibney-trained To Choose repeated a win of 12 months ago when scoring in the Derek O’Sullivan Memorial Apprentice Handicap again.
