Moylagh book JFC final ticket

Clonard's impressive run  in JFC under manager Damien Griffin saw them make the most of their reprieve from relegation to the Junior B, but they exited the title race at the semi-final stage yesterday.

Clonard found the going too demanding when they lost to Moylagh by four points (0-8 to 0-12).

Moylagh were ahead by 0-6 to 0-4 at the interval sustained the momentum after the break as they repeated their first-half tally.

Moylagh will now focus on today's other semi-final at Pairc Tailteann where manager Mickey Rennicks and his selectors will await the result of the tie between Carnaross and Meath Hill.

IFC

In the other games players yesterday Longwood edged out Ballivor in the IFC relegation play-off by 0-11 to 1-6.

In the IFC quarter-finals, Curraha defeated Donaghmore / Ashbourne by 1-13 to 0-9 and St Michael's defeated Kilmainham by 1-12 to 0-12.

The other two quarter-finals take place today - Trim v Oldcastle and Nobber v Ballinlough.
