Meath secure All-Ireland semi spot

Meath were held to a 1-14 to 0-17 draw today in Trim by Down in the All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship fourth round tie.

Meath were very lucky to finish their final home game of 2017 with a draw although they were ahead by 0-8 to 0-7 at the break.

Meath started the second-half smartly with a Caroline Quinn goal, but the hosts needed a late Aoife Monogue point to earn the draw.

Although they still have yet to play Carlow, they have secured an All-Ireland semi-final spot in the middle of August.

A round of club championship games will be played before the Carlow game.

Meath scorers -  A Minogue (0-6), C Quinn (1-0), S Hackett (0-2), A Gaffney (0-2), M Tynne, (0-2),  A Slattery (0-1), A Keogh (0-1),
