James Kelly in action for Kiltale in the semi-final.

Kelly duo bidding for bragging rights this weekend

Kiltale hurlers Padraig and James Kelly will be bidding to take back the bragging rights in the Kelly household this weekend when they line out for their club against Kildalkey in the SHC Jubilee Cup final at Pairc Tailteann, 2.30.

At the moment Paddy Kelly, father of the two talented young Kiltale hurlers, would hold the bragging rights.

Paddy guided Kildare side Coill Dubh to another SHC title last Sunday at St Conleth's Park, Newbridge only a week after winning a semi-final replay against Confey.

Coill Dubh defeated Ardclough in the decider and a Leinster IHC campaign is now on the cards.

However, this weekekend, Paddy Kelly will be hoping to see Kiltale retain their SHC crown when they take on Kildalkey in what will be an eagerly awaited Jubilee Cup decider.

The IHC decider will feature  Clann na nGael against Wolfe Tones as the curtainraiser.
