Tributes planned for croke park today

A moment’s silence will be observed for the late Lorna Carty today at Croke Park before the start of the Meath v Westmeath Leinster SFC semi-final as well as the late Larry and Martina Hayes from Athlone.

Lorna Carty's son Simon is a Meath footballer and his Dunderry club has written a tribute (see below)

The deceased were victims of the Tunisian terrorist attack on Friday in which 38 people were killed.

 

DUNDERRY GAA CLUB TRIBUTE
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Lorna Carty.

Lorna was always there to give a helping hand with all of our teams and events.

She was greatly loved in our community and will be dearly missed.


Her husband Declan is treasurer of the club, Simon her son plays football and hurling with the club and is currently part of the Meath senior football panel.

Hazel her daughter played camogie with the club.


Please keep Lorna and her family in your prayers.

You will be dearly missed Lorna.
