Harris hits hat-trick as St Michael's march on

With a combination of clever support play and devastating ability to take their chances St Michael's, Loreto defeated Thornhill College, Derry 6-15 to 2-4  in the All-Ireland Post-Primary Schools Senior C FC semi-final at Emyvale today with Kelly Harris scoring a hat-trick of goals.

The Navan side had the advantage of the wind in the opening and they used it to good effect to led 2-10 to 0-1 at the interval.

They continued to add to their tally in the second-half with Thornhill unable to make much headway against a strong Loreto defence.

Harris found the net from two penalties, one in each half, and also hit the target from play soon after the interval.

Naoise DeGraff helped herself to two goals, finishing off both opportunties well from close range.

Stacy Grimes also capped an outstanding performance with 1-6, all from play, as Loreto dominated.

Jimmy Geoghegan.
