Huge turn out for Tayto Park event

There was a huge turn out of Meath supporters at Tayto Park near Ashbourne this evening to ‘Meet and Greet’ members of the Royal County football and hurling teams.

The event was aimed at letting young supporters meet their heroes in the green and gold.

Meath football manager Mick O’Dowd and his hurling counterpart Cillian Farrell brought a contingent of players from their respective panels for the event held in the unique surroundings of Tayto Park.

Kevin Reilly, Joe Sheridan, Graham Reilly and Seamus Kenny were among the Meath footballers who showed up and they were busy signing autographs.

“We estimate about 2,200 kids showed up. The whole idea was to promote Gaelic games for the younger people,” said Meath PRO Martin O’Halloran.
