Soccer club left devastated after dressing rooms destroyed by vandals

Gardai are investigating after vandals caused major damage to dressing rooms belonging to a local soccer club.

The dressing rooms of Dunshaughlin Youths Football Club were wrecked last Wednesday (4th July) with major damage being done to walls, sinks, toilets with club jerseys destroyed.

Senior manager Shane McLoughlin came across the destruction when he was taking his son up to the pitch that night for a kick around.

"I noticed that the doors of the dressing room were open which was unusual as people would be up at the pitch at night but no one would take heed of the maintenance of the place or be in there normally." explained Shane.

 

When Shane walked in he was horrified at the amount of damage that had been done. Urinals were smashed into pieces, walls were completely destroyed, graffiti adorned all the walls and doors were left hanging by their hinges. Jerseys which were hanging up were also torn down and tampered with.
