Claremont Board fighting hard to save facility

The Board of Management of Claremont Stadium are still fighting to save the facility and activities are continuing as normal.

The stadium is currently on sale on the open market, after a receiver was appointed a few months ago.

While an offer on the property by the Board had been rejected, they now have another valid offer on the table and negotiations are ongoing with the receiver with a view to reaching a  conclusion to allow the management company to purchase the facility.

Meanwhile Claremont Stadium continues to operate as normal. Current bookings this summer show an increase on last year and projections for the remainder of the year are healthy.

The stadium is a voluntary run social enterprise and has provided sporting and community facilities for over 30 years.

It is home to Navan Athletic Club and Parkvilla Football Club, however many local organisations and clubs call the stadium home and use the fantastic facilities which include an Olympic standard eight lane, 400m tartan athletics track and field stadium, soccer grounds and multi activity sports hall which caters for badminton, soccer, basketball, Olympic handball and more.
