Two injured in N2 collision

Two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries following a single vehicle collision on the N2 north of Kilmoon Cross yesterday evening. A van, travelling north, collided with a tree at Cushinstown, Rathfeigh, at around 5.20pm. The male driver, who is in his twenties and a female passenger, who is in her forties, were both taken by ambulance to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, where their conditions are today described as stable.

The road was closed for the rest of the day with diversions in place and only re-opened at 2am this morning. Forensic Collision investigators attended the scene.
