Fatal accident at Baymore Cross
Gardai are investigating a two-vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Baymore Cross, Laytown this afternoon around 2pm.
A woman in her 40s, who was the driver and sole occupant, was fatally injured when her car was involved in a collision with a truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Our Lady's Hospital, Navan. The driver of the truck did not require hospital treatment.
This stretch of road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions put in place.
