Funeral arrangements for fr oliver j devine

The death occurred last night of Fr Oliver J. Devine, retired Parish Priest of Mountnugent.
Having served for many years as a De La Salle Brother, Fr Devine was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Meath in his home parish of Delvin on 5th September 1999. He served as curate in Kingscourt until his appointment as parish priest of Mountnugent in September 2004, a position he held until his retirement last month.
Fr Devine’s remains will be reposing at Portiuncula Nursing Home, Multyfarnham from this afternoon until arrival at the Church of St Brigid, Mountnugent on Saturday 31st October at 6pm where reposing will continue until 9pm.
His nephew, Fr Oliver Devine, will celebrate Mass in the Church of St Brigid, Mountnugent on Sunday 1st November at 6pm before the remains will be transferred to the Church of St Brigid and St Fiach, Ballinacree for reposing until 9pm.
Requiem Mass will take place on Monday 2nd November at 1pm in the Church of St Brigid and St Fiach, Ballinacree with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
