Man charged over stabbing

A 34-year-old local man has been charged in relation to a stabbing incident in Dunshaughlin on Sunday evening, 11th October.

A 30-year-old man is understood to have received puncture wounds to his arm and body, believed to have been inflicted by a penknife. He was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where he remains. It is understood his injuries are not life-threatening.
The incident occurred outside the Arch Bar in Dunshaughlin shortly before 5pm on Sunday evening. A 34-year-old local man was arrested immediately after the incident and taken to Ashbourne Garda Station.

He was subsequently charged with assault, causing harm, and appeared before Ardee Court on Monday 12th October. No application for bail was made and he was remanded in custody to appear again at Cloverhill Court this Friday.
