Serious incident at kellystown slane

Gardaí at Slane are investigating a serious incident at Kellystown, Slane around 2pm this afternoon.

Four males were disturbed by a local resident during a burglary at a house in the area.

The culprits attacked the man's car, smashing the windscreen with a sledgehammer and throwing a rock through a side window.

The suspects then fled the scene at speed in a blue Audi car and, in doing so, collided with another car. They continued to drive at speed following the collision in the direction of Slane.
