Rte sports darragh maloney for upcoming trim golf classic

RTE Sport's presenter Darragh Maloney will attend the fifth annual Trim Golf Classic at South Meath Golf Club this coming Saturday, 27th September.

The event is being organised by Trim native, Niall Winters, in aid of Muscular Dystrophy Ireland (MDI).

Amy Bramley, fundraising and PR coordinator at MDI, said: 'The golf classic is a fun day out with the aim to raise vital funds for the respite support services MDI provide to individuals and families with muscular dystrophy.'

MDI supports 672 members around Ireland, and its respite service provides carers with a physical break from what is continuous and demanding work. Without this type of support, carers can experience enormous physical and emotional strain.

MDI also provides family support, youth support, emergency respite and youth activities as required.
