Trim maintain winning ways

Trim maintained their 100 per cent record in the SHC with a 4-12 to 1-10 victory over Boardsmill at Kildalkey this afternoon.

The Trim side were already assured of a place in the last four but they wanted to maintain their winning ways and they did that with the help of goals from Neil Heffernan, Alan Douglas, James Toher and Aaron McGee.

John Andrews' team didn't have it all their own way despite carving out a 3-3 to 1-7 interval advantage.

Boardsmill enjoyed a good second quarter with Niall Weir grabbing their only goal shortly before the break.

Longwood also sealed their place in the quarter-finals when they defeated Navan O'Mahonys 0-15 to 2-5 at Trim this afternoon also.

Kilmessan will play Kildalkey in the other quarter-final tie while Trim and Kiltale go straight through to the last four.
