Acorn Life adds 15 financal services jobs in Moynalty

A total of 15 new jobs are to be created by financial services company, Acorn Life, at its regional headquarters in Moynalty. The company has announced the creation of 150 new positions in 2011, with 15 of these jobs destined for Meath. The company currently employs 20 at its Moynalty office, which serves the Louth, Meath, Cavan area. Acorn Life is investing €2m in its technology infrastructure over the next 18 months to support these roles and a local recruitment drive is commencing to fill the positions. The company is specifically looking for experienced business professionals who want a change from their current industry and says it will provide the necessary training to support this initiative. Pat Kangley, regional manager with Acorn Life in Meath, commented: "This is an excellent opportunity for both those who would like to launch their career in financial services and those who have enjoyed previous success in other business sectors, but are looking to change direction. We are currently focused on identifing individuals with the skill set and motivation to fit our organisation - we are essentially looking for men and women with business acumen and experience to become part of our expansion. They will be fully trained and will have the support and experience of a large company network behind them to develop and prosper." The successfull applicants will join the Acorn Life team and will be mentored and extensively trained in all aspects of financial service provision. They will be supported in the completion of the Qualified Financial Adviser Diploma (the industry's required professional qualification) while also being coached on the skills and knowledge required to develop the business. The financial advice experts contend that the sector, although it has suffered of late, is relatively robust and is destined to grow over the short to medium term as people seek help with their financial affairs.
