Niall Horan's celebrity charity match at end of May

One Direction singer and life time Derby County supporter Niall Horan will trade sold out music stadiums for a packed King Power Stadium, home ofLeicester City Football Club on Monday 26th May when his team takes on former Derby County Captain Robbie Savage’s team.  The two star-studded teams will both have high-profile celebrities from England and the rest of the world and top class footballers and footballing legends.  All proceeds from this classic football match will be split between Mullingar based charity, Irish Autism Action (IAA), UK charity Heart and Minds Challenge and Leicester City Foxes Foundation.

Confirmed and joining him on his team are bands mates Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, Olly Murs, Robbie Fowler, Rod Stewart, Jason McAteer and ambassador for IAA Keith Duffy, with the full team line up being announced in May.

“I am very excited to host my first charity football match with myself and my band mates Liam and Louis looking forward to giving Robbie Savage a run for his money”, said Niall Horan, “I feel very privileged that I am the position to be able to raise a significant amount of money for Irish Autism Action which is based in my home town of Mullingar.  I am also delighted to also raise funds for UK based Heart and Minds Challenge and the Leicester City Foxes Foundation on the day.  I have no doubt that the mix of celebrities and sporting legends will provide great fun and entertainment for the crowd attending,” he said.

Tickets are on sale on Ticketmaster.  There will be 30,000 seats available with a general ticket price of £15 and some limited seats available at £25.
