Andy McEntee another three years at the helm.

Unanimous support for Andy McEntee

There was unanimous support for the appointment of Andy McEntee for a further three-year term as Meath senior football manager at Monday night's Co Board meeting at Dunganny.

Co Board chairman Peter O'Halloran put the proposal to the delegates on behalf of the management committee and Paddy Watters (Duleek /Bellewstown) seconded the proposal.

McEntee took over the reins from Mick O'Dowd for 2017 and this year guided the Meath team to NFL Div 1, a Leinster SFC final and a place in the Super 8s for the first time.

McEntee will be in charge until 2022 with a review scheduled after two years (2021).

"Andy met all the goals that he set and the next goal now will be to maintain our staus in the NFL Div 1 next year," stated chairman Peter O'Halloran.
