Dunshaughlin strike late to stun Seneschalstown

There was no shortage of drama at Ashbourne this afternoon as Dunshaughlin completed a remarkable recovery to claim a narrow 3-11 to 2-13 SFC victory over unfortunate Seneschalstown.
Joe Cowley's Yellow Furze side started really well with goals from Bryan Clarke and Cathal Finnegan inspiring them to a 2-4 to 0-1 lead  after 16 minutes, but Dunshaughlin never gave up and rallied well to close the gap to 0-6 to 2-6 by half-time.
Within five minutes of the restart Dunshaughlin were level with points from Luke Mitchell, Ben Duggan and Tadhg O Dushlaine followed by a Matthew Costello goal which made it 1-9 to 2-6.
Five minutes later Mitchell stooped to palm the first of his two goals to give Dunshaughlin a 2-9 to 2-7 lead and they were still 2-10 to 2-9 ahead when Niall Murphy picked up a second yellow card and was sent-off with eight minutes remaining.

All the momentum was with Seneschalstown at that stage as points from Joe Sheridan, brian Sheridan and Alan Mulvany gave them a 2-12 to 2-11 lead heading into injury-time.
However there was still time for more drama as Mitchell palmed his second goal to ensure it was Dunshaughlin who were celebrating at the end.
