Meath Hill and Rathregan players today

Meath Hill best in Boys Div 5 final

Meath Hill deservedly won the Meath Primary Schools Boys Div 5 final today at Pairc Tailteann.

The Meath Hill boys won impressively by 8-7 to 4-6 against Rathregan and had they also had tremendous support.

However, the scoreline was a little unfair on a battling Rathregan side that was always in the game until the final few minutes when Meath Hill struck for three late goals.

TACTICS FOR THE BIG MATCH

Those goals certainly put an extra gloss on the scoreboard from a Meath Hill perspective, but it was thoroughly merited success.

Meath Hill played fast football and were ahead by 3-3 to 1-4 at the interval.

All the Meath Hill players worked very hard in the second-half also.
