Garda Band to play at Dunshaughlin Harvest Festival

With eight years of raucous harvest fun under its belt, Dunshaughlin Harvest Festival (27th - 29th September) is gearing up for its ninth annual weekend-long celebration of food, folk and fun for all the family.
Along with the usual festival favorites like Adult Musical Chairs, Parades, Pub Entertainment, Outdoor Cinema and the outstanding Variety Show. Highlights for 2019 include street theatre performances by The Von Drip Duo and the The talented Garda Band.
A community harvest group, established in 2017, will be giving talks and demos and tastings of their ciders, jams and vinegars produced from last autumn’s crops picked from local back gardens and orchards during the 2018 festival. The aim of this new group is to use up excess local fruits which are in abundance, finding new ways to prevent waste.
This year’s parade down Dunshaughlin’s main street will feature the award-winning Arts Team - as seen on RTE’s Ray D’Arcy St Patrick’s Day Parade 2018. This year's theme is sustainability and will be led by our very own Queen Bee!
There’s a children’s dog show, bouncy castles, a ceili, a militaria demo, food and craft fairs, bakery competition, music and dance on the festival stage, yoga, mindfulness, motorbike, tractor displays and much much more!
This award-winning festival has something for everyone from young children to teenagers to adults! To check out the full programme and register for events, go to www.dunfest.com.  The best bit - most events are free! Dunshaughlin Harvest Festival is held the last weekend of September every year and is a family festival run completely by volunteers and supported by local businesses, Meath County Council and Meath Tourism.
