Navan schoolmates band together for SoSad

Navan-based band, Fiveby5 are set to play The Vintage Lounge at The Central, Navan on Wednesday 19th February, as a fundraiser for the Navan branch of SoSad, the mental health organisation which provides free support to teenagers and young adults in Ireland.

“It’s okay to not be okay” say the lads, and this was brought home to them during the work they did in January at St Patrick’s Classical School during Mental Health Week.   “Keeping problems bottled up only makes matters worse, so it is so important to talk, and SoSad provides that opportunities for kids our age, who don’t know where to turn.  We are delighted with the opportunity to help this great organisation”.

Fiveby5 is vibrant young band, founded by St Patrick’s Classical School lads, Sean Gilsenan, Charlie Cullen, Luke Kavanagh and Rahul Dambal.  The students are in fifth and sixth year at this school which has a great music driven ethos.  The school offers great support to the band, allowing them to perform at any opportunity the school can provide.  So with plenty of talent and fun, this is shaping up to be a great night of music.

They first performed alongside The Celtic Tenors at a school concert in October 2018, as a part fundraiser for The Make A Wish Organisation and have since performed at various events including the prestigious Hinterland Festival in Kells last summer.

Tickets are €5 and available on the door at The Central, Navan.  Doors open at 7pm., show starts at 7.30 pm.
