Fixtures released for football championship semi-finals

The various football championships are starting to reach their concluding stages and on the weekend of Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September the semi-finals of the SFC, IFC and JFC will be played.

Next Tuesday night (8th September) Ballinabrackey and Clann na nGael will clash in the IFC quarter-final and that will complete the full semi-final line ups.

There are seven games fixed for Pairc Tailteann between Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September. As well as the IFC semi-final between Trim and Kilmainham and the SFC semi-final meeting of Ratoath and Summerhill there will be the Premier FC Div 1 final between Donaghmore/Ashbourne and Skryne on Saturday 19th September.

Pairc Tailteann is set to be even busier on Sunday 20th September, but there will need to be a time change on at least one game as Trim and Simonstown are currently scheduled to meet in the Premier FC Div 2 final at 11.30am, while Ballivor and St Ultan's are down to get their JFC semi-final underway at 12pm.

The other two games on the bill at Pairc Tailteann that day will see St Michael's take on the winners of the IFC quarter-final between Ballinabrackey and Clann na nGael, while Na Fianna and Gaeil Colmcille will meet in the SFC semi-final.

All games must be decided on the day. Extra-time will be played if necessary and if teams are still tied after extra-time the outcome will be decided by a penalty shootout.

Restrictions on who can attend GAA matches are due to be reviewed on 13th September and it is hoped that some crowds will be allowed to attend the respective championship semi-finals and relegation play-offs.
