Summerhill shock O'Mahonys
Summerhill caused the biggest upset of the SFC so far when they defeated Navan O'Mahonys 1-9 to 1-8 before a big crowd at Trim this evening.
In a game dominated by the high winds it was Summerhill who reached up to a new level of performance to get the better of hot favourites O'Mahonys.
Summerhill led 0-6 to 0-2 at the break but even against the wind they had plenty of possession and they received a huge boost when Barry Dardis netted with 41 minutes played.
O'Mahonys exerted plenty of possesion in the second-half but they struggled to dig out scores and while Jake Regan fired home a late goal for the Brews Hill side it wasn't enough to save them.
