Friday night comedy show in Ballinlough
In its last show before taking over the comedy stage at this year's Le Cheile Festival in Oldcastle, the Lough in Ball boys promise another show of mirth and merriment in the Halfway House, Ballinlough. This week's show, on Friday night, is timed to run with the nearby Kells Road Races 2010, and a stone throw from the main racing drag for the weekend, for those who want a laugh with their leathers on! Headlining this Friday's show will be Kieran Lawless, winner of the Bulmers Comedy Competition in Dublin, and a performer whose style has garnered numerous plaudits this year. A proud Mayo man, Kieran is on his way to huge things both at home and abroad. Supporting Kieran will be one of Des Bishop's progeny from the 'Joy in Da Hood' RTE show, Pat O'Shea from Dublin. Pat has been winning people over for years, and this Friday will take on the crowds at Ballinlough. Blessed with amazing stage presence and a real down to earth outlook on life, Pat promises a set of observant and grounded humour. Also supporting is Joey Macken, with a unique musical style of comedy, and a finalist in this year's Comedy Dublin competition. Guest MC for the night is Geo, the founding member of Dublin's 'Tap Me Up' comedy club. Previewing snippets of his Edinburgh show, Geo will run the nights event and keep the laughs coming all night long. Admission is just €7 and €5 with the 'recession concession'!
