McEnaney's Fiddlers hosts August festival

Big names like Sharon Shannon, Ryan Sheridan, Big Tom, More Power to Your Elbow and Big Generator are just some of the acts Meath senior football team manager Seamus McEnaney, who owns the Fiddlers in Carrickmacross, has lined up for a weekend festival of music in a marquee in the Fiddlers car park on the August Bank Holiday weekend. With tickets priced from just €10 the Festival starts on Friday 3rd August with bands performing each night of the weekend and finishes on Monday night with the infamous Big Tom. Seamus McEnaney said that he priced the tickets low as he is conscious of the current economy and the many demands on people who also want an opportunity to have a good night out on the bank holiday. Seamus McEnaney says: "I have tried to cater for all age groups in our Farney Music Festival which starts on the Friday night 3rd August with Big Generator who play pop and rock and roll, supported by local group the God-Fathers. On Saturday night we have Sharon Shannon, supported by the unique More Power to your Elbow. On Sunday night Ryan Sheridan whose song 'The Dreamer' has been chosen by Heineken as the soundtrack for their TV advertisement will be on stage and on the Monday night Big Tom, affectionately known as Ireland's King of Country Music' , graces the stage with his huge presence and is already almost a sell-out concert."
